Letter from the President - NDHS' Future Secured

Dear Notre Dame Community,

As we near the coming of Christ this Christmas season, I have a great gift to share with you—the news that Notre Dame High School ’s future has been secured! Today a press release was issued jointly by the Congregation of Holy Cross, Indiana Province and the new not-for-profit corporation Notre Dame College Prep (NDCP—in essence, our new governing board). The release provides an overview of how the transfer of ownership from Holy Cross to NDCP has now been completed. Effective Jan. 1, 2007, NDCP will assume operation of Notre Dame High School. (Note: The name of the high school will not change.)

With this news, Notre Dame is now truly poised for a tremendous future. Guided by our new strategic vision, which continues to be implemented by our administration, faculty and staff, and under the direction of dedicated alumni, parents and friends, who have already worked tirelessly to ensure this transfer of ownership, I am confident Notre Dame’s worthy educational mission will inspire minds and hearts for generations to come. It is because of our lay leadership that Notre Dame will continue to flourish.

I thank you for your prayers, support and patience during this time of transition for the high school. Thanks to your unwavering commitment to our young men, the Dons of Notre Dame, the best is yet to come for NDHS!
