New IRA Legislation - Reduce the cost of your charitable giving

In August 2006, President Bush signed a new law permitting tax-free distributions to charities through individual retirement accounts (IRA's). Under the new legislation, donors can make an IRA distribution in 2007 of up to $100,000 to tax-exempt organizations such as Notre Dame High School. This new law expires at the end of 2007.
