The Cross Program

Imagine attending Notre Dame High School and learning that your mother or father has lost a job, or worse yet, has passed away. In an instant, you are forced to start thinking of how you can persevere in the face of such adversity. Unfortunately, for some of the young men that pass through the halls of Notre Dame, these thoughts are all too familiar. During their high school careers, many will experience distress forcing them to ponder if they will be able to continue their education at Notre Dame. With many families already making a financial sacrifice to allow their sons to receive a Notre Dame education, sometimes a major loss makes the yearly tuition payments nearly impossible.

Bound by the mission of the Congregation of Holy Cross, we are called to support one another, our extended family, in times of need. The Cross Program (formerly the SANTA Program) financially assists students that encounter unforseen circumstances or hardship while attending Notre Dame High School.

A gift to this program ensures that all students will be able to finish their secondary education at Notre Dame despite challenging and life-altering circumstances. Supported by generous benefactors, such as alumni, parents and friends of Notre Dame, who give above and beyond their annual fund commitments, this program underscores the value of a Notre Dame education. A gift to the Cross Porgram helps a young man at Notre Dame know that, regardless of his setback in life, he has the Notre Dame family to support him in reaching his dreams.
