General Meeting Minutes - August 14, 2008
First meeting of 2008-2009 school year
The meeting (which was held on the road at Tommy's on Higgins in Chicago) was called to order at 7:00 PM by Skip Lawson.
Opening prayer from Skip Lawson.
Introductions of all present.

There was error in meeting notes and actual attendee names cannot be provided Minutes of last meeting were noted by Joe Jummati. Minutes were approved by Marty Kucha and seconded by Mike Biel. We ask that minutes from meetings be reviewed on NDHSDONS.org prior to the next general meeting.
GOALS of the alumni on the road meetings were reviewed by Skip Lawson- Alumni on the road was designed to lighten up general meetings and to have fun, off campus. Each meeting will consist of 45 minutes of alumni business followed by fun.
* OLD BUSINESS
- LIFETIME LEARNING UPDATE- REVIEW OF DATES AND FORMATT. Marty Kucha presented the format of the 4 th annual seminar. There should be 3 or 4 new presentations for seniors this year. The seminars will be held over a 4 week period (February 4,11,18 and March 4. Volunteers are needed and ideas are welcome.
* PAST -PRESENT –PROMISE (P-3) REPORT
-Grotto- Classrooms- Chapel. Legacy and report were reviewed by Skip.
* GOLF OUTING REPORTS. There were 177 golfers this year. Overall, the event was smooth and successful. This outing provided 8 scholarships to this year’s students. The young alumni outing will increase to 18 holes this year based on feedback
* REUNIONS REPORT
* NEW BUSINESS AND UPCOMMING EVENTS
* ALUMNI TENT SPONSORSHIP- FIRST HOME GAME IS AUG. 29 vs. SULLIVAN. For a $250 investment you can sponsor the alumni tent for all home games. A banner will be present to show your support. These banners will also be present at all home basketball and baseball events.
* SEPTEMBER 5, ND FOOTBALL TEAM WILL BE PLAYING IN WESTOSHA , WI (directions posted on-line)
* REUNION UPDATES
* FOOTBALL SCHEDULES AND FREE PASSES. Free passes were provided to all in attendance.
