Campus Visits (Shadow Program)
Notre Dame High School welcomes all prospective students who wish to visit Notre Dame High School and experience the pride and spirit of the Notre Dame community. The school operates a very successful Shadow Day Program which assigns a present Notre Dame student-usually a freshmen-to each eighth grader. With an ND student to guide them, ND shadows get a great glimpse of a typical day at Notre Dame, going to classes, participating in the events of the day, and even enjoying a free lunch.
Students wishing to shadow at Notre Dame should contact LaVerne Bontempo at 847.779.8615 in the Enrollment Office to reserve a spot. Notre Dame also hosts groups of students from given schools as well. If you wish to participate as a group from your grade school, simply have your teacher or principal call our office and let us know the date you wish to visit. Before your visit, please complete the Notre Dame Shadow Day Form (.pdf) and bring it with you on your visit.
The Enrollment Office also hosts two Open Houses (Thursday, Nov. 1 from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm and Sunday, Nov. 11 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm) as well as a number of other events that offer prospective students and their parents opportunities to experience Notre Dame High School.
